To achieve Zero Waste to Landfill, organizations need to implement waste reduction strategies, such as source reduction, waste minimization, recycling, composting, and waste-to-energy processes. They need to assess their waste streams and develop a waste management plan to maximize resource recovery and minimize waste generation.
Workplace Management -7S Certification
7S Intro:
5S/7S audit is a workplace organization and housekeeping audit that evaluates the level of organization, cleanliness, and standardization in a workplace. It is a lean management tool that helps organizations improve workplace efficiency, safety, and productivity.
7S is a methodology that originated in Japan and stands for Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety & Spirit. It is a system designed to organize and maintain cleanliness and efficiency in the workplace and can be applied to any industry or organization.
The first step, Sort, involves identifying and removing unnecessary items from the workspace to reduce clutter and increase productivity. The second step, Set in order, involves organizing the remaining items in a logical and efficient manner, making them easy to find and use. The third step, Shine, involves regular cleaning and maintenance of the workspace to ensure it remains clean and functional.
The fourth step, Standardize, involves creating a set of guidelines and procedures to maintain the first three steps and ensure that they are followed consistently. The next step, Sustain, involves ongoing training and monitoring to ensure that the system remains in place and is effective over the long term. The next two steps are Abstract as compared to the previous five steps as these two “S” run concurrently along with all 5S. 6th S of Safety denotes doing every work by keeping Safety in mind, the safety of people, and material. 7th S of Spirit represents efforts in keeping the spirit of teamwork imbibed in the team so that this 7S journey keeps going.
Certification:

Obtaining 7S certification can have several benefits for individuals and organizations. For organisations, it can demonstrate their commitment to professional development. It can lead to improved efficiency, reduced waste, and increased profitability. It can also help to create a culture of continuous improvement and ensure that everyone in the organization is working towards the same goals
